The American Crisis

Everything I know seems to be wrong. This country is going downhill right now. People are very ignorant and very uneducated, and it seems like we’re at the point of no return. Obama is leading our country; a man who wants power and will do anything to get it. There aren’t many leaders on Capitol Hill who aren’t corrupt. It’s a sad day for America, and at times, it seems like there’s no hope. The oppressive government is a huge problem. We are slipping into the same situation that we were once in under Britain, and people aren’t waking up. Everyone talks about how history repeats itself, but they don’t do anything to stop it from repeating. Obama, Congress, and the Supreme Court are some of the biggest problems in America today, but the biggest problem by far is the people. We are so reliant upon technology and government and our first-world society, and our eyes are so closed to what is happening around us. We are enjoying luxuries, but we are forgetting what got us those luxuries in the first place. Education is a huge problem. People in America are so ignorant because the government controls the education system, and of course, a power-seeking government isn’t going to teach the next generation important tools or facts. People haven’t studied the Constitution, and in reality, a lot of Americans don’t even know what the Constitution is. A society can only survive with intelligent beings, but America is becoming stupider and stupider every day. The biggest problem in society, though, is morality. People are wicked in this country. A lot of it has to do with media and technology. Many, many people are addicted to pornography, drugs, alcohol, etc., as well as media (music, television, internet, etc.) that promotes immorality. This nation was built for a moral people; for God’s people. We are going to be punished for our sins like every other wicked society in history has been.

Everything is wrong. How can it be fixed? It seems like there is no hope. Yet still, heroes arose out of the darkest places in history to save the world. One person can make a difference. We can’t force people to change their ways, but we can promote goodness in society, and if society doesn’t choose to turn around, then they will bring destruction upon themselves. America is falling. The depths of destruction are calling, but unlike all the fallen nations past, America is going to last.
